Egypt: Country Takes Part in Doha Arab Summit

Egypt will take part on 6/3/2012 in the Doha summit which is organized by Arab communication ministers council in cooperation with International Tele-communication Union (ITU).

 

Egypt is to be represented by Communications and IT Minister Dr. Mohamed Salem.

 

The summit is aimed at activating the role of the tele-communication in overcoming poverty and creating job opportunities for Arab youth and making use of modern technology for supporting economies of the region as well as improving standard of living for the people.

 

Salem will read out the speech of Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi to the summit. Salem said Egypt would turn in a number of initiatives for cementing cooperation among Arab countries and to activate Arab Joint action in the field of tele-communication and IT.
