Allocates 50 million SMSs to support donation campaign
Etisalat, one of the largest telecom operators in the Middle East and Africa, today announced it will donate AED 3 million to provide clothing to 75,000 needy children around the world as part of its support to Ramadan campaign launched by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to dress 1Million Needy Children.
Etisalat has allocated 50 million SMSs to support the donation campaign. The initiative will receive further support by sending SMSs to subscribers spreading awareness and encouraging them to donate. The initiative plans to provide clothing to 1 million needy children globally.
The campaign will continue until the 19th day of Ramadan (July 28) whichfalls on the ‘Emirati humanitarian work day’ and marks the 9thanniversary of the death of late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Contribution scan be made by sending ‘dress’ via SMS to 7040 donating AED 40 to dress 1child, to 7160 contributing AED 160 to dress 4 children, to 7240 donating AED 240 to dress 6 children and to 7400 contributing AED 400 to dress 10 children.
