Huawei gears up for “Huawei Day Bahrain 2018”

H.E. Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammad, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications will be the guest of honour as Huawei shines spotlight on 5G, Safe Cities and other digital transformation drivers in Bahrain

Manama, Bahrain: Huawei, a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, will be hosting the “Huawei Day Bahrain 2018” on 02 October 2018 at Wyndham Grand Manama. The event will be held on the sidelines of Bahrain Technology Week 2018, which is organized by the Economic Development Board Bahrain, under the theme ‘Building a Fully Connected, Intelligent Kingdom. In the presence of H.E. Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammad, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, the high-level forum aims to bring together experts in the ICT industry, and raise awareness of the role of ICT in driving digital transformation across a number of key industries, as well as to showcase Huawei’s latest solutions.

The Bahrain Tech Week is a major forum that brings together technology experts from across government, major international and regional private-sector entities as well as the region’s most promising startups. The forum is intended to showcase opportunities for innovation and growth in Bahrain’s thriving technology sector and will explore how emerging digital trends are revolutionizing industries across the GCC.

Huawei is a strong supporter of the Bahraini government’s national vision to transform the country to a digitized economy. To achieve this, Huawei will focus on showcasing several key technologies over the forum that are crucial in creating advanced knowledge-based economies. The packed day will feature several keynotes and discussions that highlight some of the key aspects of the future of ICT with a role to play in accelerating the economic growth of the country. These keynotes and discussions will cover 5G, Safe Cities, IT/IP, Digital Transformation, Campus Networks and Cyber Security and Ecosystem of Partners.
